Our company and site policies
Site content use policy
We would be happy to allow you to reprint our articles and resources on your related web site or in your electronic or print communications. We do, however, require three things in return.
- We ask that all articles or resources be reprinted in their entirety
including the “resource box” (author and site information)
and links back to our site as provided with each article or resource. - Do not simply link to our article or resource within a frame of your
page, etc. You must republish the work on your site, on your servers. - Email us and let us know when and where our work is appearing. If
at all possible, we’d appreciate getting a heads up in advance, but
we’re always interested in what others in our field are covering and
what they have to say about our topics.
Content submissions:
We welcome and encourage visitors to add to the content of our sites by submitting pictures, YouTube video links or written content. Your stories from the road and the trenches help us all, but please understand that all content submitted becomes the property of We Make Hybrids to edit and use at our sole discretion. We cannot guarantee the return original photos, etc. although we will make every effort to if asked.
We provide a link on the website that allows you to upload your own story to us for publication. Submission of a story does not automatically mean that it will be published, nor will it appear instantly even if it is accepted as is, so please don’t click the submit button more than once. We review all stories to make sure they are in keeping with the site and are acceptable to audience members of all ages. We will edit out excessive links and will not publish stories with bad language, inappropriate behaviors, hate messages, etc. Please don’t waste any of our time trying to comment spam our audience as it just isn’t going to happen.
We Make Hybrids disclaims any responsibility for the accuracy of the content of this website. Visitors assume all the risk of viewing, reading, using, or relying upon this information. The website makes no such warranty as to the accuracy of any stories written by or submitted to us, published or not. Nor do we warranty the accuracy of the information in any of the books, reports or other products we may recommend to our readers.
If you are a publisher and believe someone has submitted your copyrighted material to our site without your permission, please contact us at info@wemakehybrids.com, so we can provide correct attribution or remove it. If you are thinking of submitting someone else’s copyrighted work, don’t do it without their prior approval. If you’re not sure if the picture, etc. you want to use is copyrighted, don’t do it and hope it will go unnoticed. It won’t.
If you know of a situation that you think would make a great case study and help others make a clear and responsible decision about whether or not to convert their vehicle to use an alternative fuel, but you aren’t able to write up the story yourself, please contact us directly. That way we can work together to tell the story in the best possible way.
Site privacy policies at at glance
We take the privacy of our email list members and site visitors very seriously. Unless directed by law enforcement agents, we have no intention of ever sharing the personal information of any of our members and visitors. Even though this position is one that puts us in opposition to some provisions of the Can Spam Act (sharing unsubscribe information with advertisers), we intend to stand by our policy.
On the other hand, we know that our members and visitors are an open and sharing group, and that we all have a great deal to learn from one another. If you have something to share, we’d love to hear from you,
but would assume that you are also giving us permission in that case to publish your name, and or other identifying information.
The following information covers that big gray area in between and seeks to explain what information we do gather on our site and what we do with it once we have it. We welcome your comments and questions and
ask that you direct them to:
We Make Hybrids

Or via email to: info@wemakehybrids.com
Personal identifiers:
When you submit a story to us, we assume you are also giving us permission
to include your name, location, and tie that identifying information to any
media you also submit. If you request a more private submission, we will
use initials or other partial identification only. However, We Make Hybrids
cannot be held liable for any actions that result from outside parties identifying
members from the above sources.
IP Addresses:
IP addresses identify individual computers; not people. We collect IP
addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our
website, and to track visitor usage of the site. We do not continue to
collect IP address information after a visitor has left our site. Nor
do we distribute cookies (which are used to track returning visitors
to a site).
Information Collection:
We Make Hybrids is the sole
owner of all information collected in regards to We Make Hybrids email
list members or site visitors. We collect information at shows, casual
meetings, from emails and forms delivered to this website’s
email account, downloaded or emailed forms housed on this site, from
our newsletter and other means that may or may not be used to directly
affect the content or operation of this website.
Content submissions:
We welcome and encourage visitors to add to the content of our sites
by submitting pictures or written content. Your stories from the road
and the trenches help us all, but please
understand that all content submitted becomes the property of We Make Hybrids
to edit and use at our sole discretion. We cannot guarantee to be able
to original photos, etc. although we will make every effort to if asked.
If you have a situation that you think would make a great case study
and help others become better at using multimedia to promote their
businesses, please contact us directly. That way we can work together
to tell the story in the best possible way for both our audience and
yours.
Information Sharing:
It is not the policy of We Make Hybrids to rent or sell personal information
to any third parties at this time.
Legal Exceptions:
We will disclose personal information when required by law wherein
we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with
a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served
on our website.
Children and Privacy:
We Make Hybrids does not knowingly collect or solicit
personally identifiable information from or about children under 13 except
as permitted by law. If we discover we have received any information
from a child under 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that

Links:
This site contains links to and from other sites. We Make Hybrids
is not responsible for the privacy practices of such websites, nor are
we responsible for any content on any linked sites or for any goods or
services available from them.
We Make Hybrids works hard to ensure that the information contained
on our web pages is accurate, relevant and of the high quality that our
visitors have come to expect. While we reviewed the content and quality
of each site that we link to before establishing those links, we cannot
be held responsible for any changes in content or quality that may have
occurred since we first established that link. We appreciate your comments
regarding any linked material you feel may be inappropriate.
Advertisements and Affiliate Relationships:
We Make Hybrids does accept and display advertisements from
third party vendors. In most cases, We Make Hybrids is affiliated with
the company whose ads appear on our site. Sales affiliate revenues do
provide one of our income sources. Whether or not such a relationship
does exist, each ad or program placed on our site is investigated separately
prior to the ad being accepted. In other words, our endorsement of Company
A’s design templates, for example, does not automatically extend
to all products or services sold by Company A.
We take our reputation very seriously, and do not endorse or recommend
programs, products or services we do not believe would be of great benefit
to our clients and visitors. Unfortunately, the speed of change on the
Internet prevents us from maintaining a day-to-day operating relationship
with many of those companies. For that reason, we cannot be held responsible
for any changes in those companies, their products, pricing or services.
Unauthorized Advertisements:
We are aware of automated software that exists which will create external links
from our content to what they consider to be related material, which other
companies have paid to have shown. We are not responsible for the quality
of this software or the nature of the material that it links to.
Changing subscription or database information and options:
We Make Hybrids encourages all readers to sign up for our RSS feed to be
kept up to date with changes on the site. We also offer the Gas Savers
newsletter series to our customers and friends looking for everyday ways
to save money on gas.
Anyone wishing to be added to this list, or to unsubscribe, or change
the email information we hold for them in our database can do so at any
time. All requests are handled in a timely manner and in compliance with
local and federal laws. Such additions, changes and removals may be made

Changes to this policy:
We Make Hybrids reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Please
check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of our site
following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those
changes. Information collected prior to the time any change is posted will
be used according to the rules and laws that applied at the time the information
was collected.
